The sales pitch was a bit much. Their average price is somewhere between 7 to 10 grand. If you pick out something lower you are made to feel less than human. I had to make arrangements for an elderly uncle in a nursing home. He wanted something very simple. When I picked out something along the lines of what he wanted I was told I would have to furnish the guest book myself. I would also have to contact the VFW myself and arrange for a flag. When the uncle finally died there was no estate or no money. Somehow Langeland's got a hold of the body and held it for random, demanding I pay them $10,000. When I refused Langeland's told me they would cremate the body and sell the ashes to a fertilizer company. I told them to go ahead. That every time I saw a rose garden I would remember my deceased uncle fondly. Langeland's hung up and that was the last I ever heard from them. As for my uncle the remains could have been sold to a fertilizer company. I wouldn't put anything past Langeland's and their unorthodox sales practices.

Sales pitch to upsell at every turn, everything costs a fortune compared to other places, our bad for not taking the timr to compare during our time of grief. Shop around for pricing and do your homework, you don't need to pay any funeral home for many of the thing you can do yourself, especially for creamations!
